More than just a sucker
My eyes brighten up as I slowly maneuver
it in my hands, trying to find out which is the most efficient way to open it. I
can seem to find the perfect way to tear into it. As my heart races, I start to
panic, it needs to be open now! My mouth is watering I can postpone my anxiety
any longer. Then finally the perfect tear. I have now, with much suspense
opened the most beautiful thing known to mankind…. A caramel apple sucker.
There is just something about these
wonderful treats that bring my happiness to an all-time high. It could be the
perfect combination of sour and sweet, or maybe it’s the way the caramel gets
slightly stuck to your teeth as you are trying to enjoy it. These suckers aren’t
like any other, they are like extreme sucks. Your average sucker is your normal
dumb dumb, but these, there are so much more.
As you have difficulties opening
these suckers, your suspension of the wonderful taste just builds. Then finally
you get it, you are now ready to have a party in your mouth. At first its only
the caramel you can taste, and its magically delicious. Then suddenly as your
eyes turn to slits and your face scrunches up like a bunny you get the sour
green apple taste. The taste is just half the fun.
As you are enjoying your sucker,
you don’t want to take it out of your mouth. But then it pops in your mind that
you can’t even possible take it out of your mouth. The stickiness of the caramel
has cemented to the roof of your mouth. What else is there to do besides panic?
As you are panicking you reach for the stick of the sucker to yank it in hopes
of loosening the bond. No such luck, the
weak stick has only become detached to the sucker and even more panic has set
it. Now you have what is like a caramel apple retainer stuck, blocking any
chance you had to swallow let alone breath. As you start to drool, with that
lack of your swallowing ability, your panic level has never been so high. At last,
through all the panic, you finally you manage to scrape off most of your
caramel apple retainer. Although this may seem like hell at first there are
many good things that can come out of this experience.
